Since 2018 Jose Maria has been the creative director of Balmaceda Studio, a rug design studio born in Mexico City, founded by himself to develop all his ideas. Since that moment Balmaceda has participated in lots of projects for big architecture firms and interior designers like: Pablo Sepulveda, Gloria Cortina, Habitación 116, Daniel Persson and Héctor Esrawe.

Through these years his designs have been exhibited on the most exclusive art fairs and design studios, everywhere around Mexico. In places like Zona Maco, Design House and Albergue Transitorio.

At the moment he is also represented by The Future Perfect gallery all through the United States and plan to expand to all Europe this year.
