Mélanie Cros is a French artist based between Paris and The Hague.
A graduate of the Manufacture des Gobelins and former tapestry weaver at Mobilier National, she set up her own studio in 2020.
Passionate about discovering the world and nature, Mélanie creates works inspired by her memories.
Water and light are recurring themes in her tapestries. Keeping to traditional gestures, she researches textures to translate transparency, movement or light with her yarns.
