Studio Sana Benzaitar crafts one of a kind contemporary handmade Moroccan Beni Mrirt rugs. The studio endeavors to preserve an ancestral weaving art from the Mrirt region. It offers high quality rugs with a focus on design, be it contemporary, traditional or abstract for some.

Quality being its top priority, Studio Sana Benzaitar offers a distinctively fine collection of authentic handmade Moroccan rugs and other hand-weaved items, which are developed around new shapes, color combinations and materials to reinvent Moroccan crafts.

The Studio was created by Sana Benzaitar, the daughter of a renowned bazaar trader in Marrakech. After studying Business in the United States, and Energy and Environment in London, Benzaitar returned home. Growing up around Moroccan Artisans and being fascinated by Handcrafts, Benzaitar’s upbringing paved the way to create her studio alongside the women weavers.

The studio is female led and champions the cause of women weavers which work has long been sold by men only. Sana Benzaitar is trying to reverse this trend.
